THE ASSEMBLY APPROVES A BILL TO ALIGN THE CNEL OPINIONS WITH THE EU AND GOVERNMENT BUDGET CYCLE

The Assembly of the National Council of Economy and Labor, held today in Rome on the premises of Villa Lubin, under the chairmanship of President Tiziano Treu and in the presence of Secretary General Paolo Peluffo, has given the green light to a bill to align the current attributions of the CNEL in economic and financial matters, provided for by current legislation (law 936 of 1986), to the end of the budget and programming cycle of the EU and consequently of the Government and of the Italian Parliament.

The text consists of a single article and 3 paragraphs, and its rapporteur at the Assembly is the director Gian Paolo Gualaccini (president of the Board for the regulation).

Moreover, during the work, the Assembly has started the preliminary discussion for updating the CNEL's program of activities (2019-2020 two-year period) and has approved the VII "Annual Report to Parliament and the Government on the levels and quality of services provided by central and local PAs to businesses and citizens "(art. 10-bis, paragraph 1, letter a) of law 936/1986, with the counselor Efisio Espa as speaker), which will be presented in January 2020.
