The activity of CNEL

Assembly

It is the body that collegially expresses the will of the Council, examines and approves the documents handled by the Commissions and any other matter referred to by the President, and at an appropriate session the annual activity

program. It is governed by Art. 2 of the Internal Regulation of Procedure of the Bodies (provided by Art. 20, paragraph 1, of Law No. 936 of 30 December 1986).

 Information Commission

 It is the council body provided by Art. 16 of Law No. 936/1986, institutionally responsible for the collection, organization and processing of information in the subjects covered by Art. 10 and Art. 17 of the same law. It is chaired by the President of the CNEL or, on his / her mandate, by a counselor identified among the experts referred to in Art. 2, paragraph 1, of the said law. The Commission has competence in the field of labor market, collective bargaining, remuneration and working conditions; it issues the directives for the organization of the national archive of work contracts and collective labor 

agreements, established by the CNEL on the basis of Art. 17 of Law No. 936/1986, and other databases. In the current structure of the Council, the Commission has been upgraded with the determination of the acting President Prot. No. 1499 of 22 December 2016.

 Unique Inquiry Commission

 It is a collegial body established by Art. 14 of Law No. 936 of 30 December 1986 as amended, and by Art. 6 of the Internal Regulation of Procedure of the Bodies. It is chaired by the Vice-President, composed in a way to respect the various representations and has expertise in the matters defined by the presidency of the CNEL and not falling within the matters assigned by the law to the Information Commission. In the current structure of the Council, the Commission has been upgraded with the determination of the acting President Prot. No. 958 of 9 September 2016

 Immigration Body

 Foreseen by Art. 40, paragraph 3, of Law No. 40 of 6 March 1998, and by Art. 42, paragraph 3 of Legislative Decree No. 286 of 25 July 1998, it was established by Presidential Decree of 10 December 1998, subsequently amended on 8 November 1999, 9 October 2000 and, In the current structure, it was updated with the determination of the acting President Prot. No. 960 of 9 September 2016. Legislation, and in particular the Implementing Regulation (DPR 31 August 1999, No. 394), entrusts the Immigration Body with the task of supporting the development of local processes for the reception and integration of foreigners and the promotion of comparison between the institutional and social actors involved, especially at the local level. The body is chaired by the President of CNEL or, on his / her mandate, by a counselor.
