VILLA LUBIN HOSTS THE NEGOTIATION FOR THE NCLA RENEWAL OF METALWORKERS

“We welcomed Federmeccanica's decision to choose the CNEL headquarters as venue for the negotiation. We are the institutional place of work and consultation, the common home of all representative organizations of workers, companies and the third sector. In this regard, it is only right to remember that the CNEL, even if hosting a significant initiative, cannot interfere in the modalities of carrying out a union negotiation, nor establish the conditions. The metalworking sector is a virtuous sector in many respects but we stress the need, which we have been working on for some time, to reach a definition of a reliable framework of rules for representation, to guarantee quality contracts in every sector and to counteract contractual dumping".

This was stated by CNEL president Tiziano Treu, who met this morning upon their request the trade union organizations FISMIC CONFSAL, UGL Metalmeccanici, CONFITESA Metalmeccanici and FAILMS CONF.S.A.F.I, which have not been involved in the negotiation for the renewal of the metalworkers contract in progress at Villa Lubin, the venue chosen by Federmeccanica for negotiations with the social players.
